The land of five rivers has seen various seasons which have been expressed by various writers of different ages in their writings. Thus, empowering the rich culture and tradition of the pious land. Since, the technology is increasing day by day, and the life is getting faster and faster with every second, the role of literature becomes very crucial. As someone has rightly said, ' ਭਾਰਤ ਇਕ ਖ਼ਾਬ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।', same goes by the main essence of this beautiful story written by one of the greatest Chief ministers of punjab i.e. Giani Gurmukh singh musafir. Every year, 26th of January is celebrated as the Republic day of India.

Pompous Parade and beautiful celebrations present one one sided creamy image of our country but brushes under the carpet, the unsung tales of the masses. How far has we reached since Independence? Where would we go? And in what direction? These questions demand proper consideration which this story evokes.
